File transfers - Local C Drive access in Citrix

First.....
Make sure that the user has the correct local drive settings for their Citrix Client.
1. Have the user Log into Citrix using the Citrix Desktop icon.
2. Once logged in the click the icon in the upper left hand corner and select the "Client Security Status" item from the menu.
3. Make sure "Full Acces" and "Never ask me again for any application" radial buttons are selected.
4. Click OK.
5. Now the Citrix client will allow access to your local drive.

Second....
Open Windows Explorer from within your Citrix Desktop and copy your files as you need to. You will see your LOCAL MACHINE drives with the name 'on Client' added to it. Your local C drive should show up in Citrix as the T drive (C$ on Client). Any other drive with Client and a $ are all your local drives, including your floppy, hard drive and CDROM drive. You just copy files to and from these drives like you would normally do within Windows Explorer.

You can also pull up a file on Citrix then save it back to your local drive by just using the save-as function in whatever program you are using. This may be a little slower so be patient and let it do its job.

NOTE 1: Over slower connection (AirCard and Dial-Up) it could take longer to perform the file transfer process. Be patient with the transfer process, it will eventually complete.

NOTE 2: The size of the file being transferred will also effect the time it takes to copy a file. Patience is the key so let the program do its job.
